Shayne is a Registered Psychologist and has an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Masters in Industrial/Organisational Psychology as well as undergraduate studies in Special Education. He has early experience in major consulting and engineering firms, and for the past decade has focused primarily on designing and delivering major wellbeing programs in the various Government Departments and Private Industries. Shayne also has significant experience developing and delivering Social and Emotional Wellbeing programs to Indigenous Communities and has worked in Cherbourg, Woorabinda, Oakey/Dalby and St George. He is experienced in coaching, developing and mentoring individuals and teams.
From this experience Shayne is motivated to focus on proactive and holistic solutions in the area of Industrial/Organisational Psychology. This has led to a strong desire to focus more on the how we select, develop and retain the right staff and develop these staff into being resilient, productive members of their organisation. The right psychometric testing plays a critical part in this at the front-end and should inform and guide an employee’s onboarding and development, thus leading to a more resilient employee who, in turn, is more productive.
In his spare time Shayne loves the outdoors and enjoys mountain bike riding, adventures through the Queensland bush, water/snow skiing/boarding and, on occasion, a 10-day meditation retreat. Shayne has a young family and they regularly do these activities together. He also loves to travel, and having half of his family in Finland, means that Shayne and his family regularly spend time in Finland and are able to enjoy an environment that is a beautiful and complimentary contrast to the Australian environment.
