Structured Interview

Structured interviewing training is designed to reduce the risk of organisations making the wrong hiring decision by providing up-to-date instruction and advice on selection interviewing that is of relevance in a NZ context. Software systems designed to simplify the structured interview process are also introduced. This is an interactive 1-day course.

Course content covers:
• Behavioural and situational interviewing
• Developing interview questions
• Follow up questioning
• Evaluating collected interview information
• Panel interviews
• Legal considerations
• Using Competency Based Interview software, such as CBI-SMART

On completion, participants will have a thorough knowledge of best-practice guidelines, enabling a reduction in selection errors and increased rigor of selection procedures. Participants will also be familiar with competency based interview software systems, such as CBI-SMART and will be able to quickly produce comprehensive structured interview guides.
