Paul is senior consultant who is responsible for the training arm of OPRA’s business.  He has a well established track record for designing and delivering workshops and programs within the learning and development space.  Paul is renowned for his high energy, impact, and entertainment approach to facilitation.

Paul’s original area of interest was in the study of philosophy and cognitive science.  Yet Paul’s enduring interest in how people differ from one another in respect of personality and intelligence prompted him to write a Master’s thesis in differential psychology.  While working on this thesis Paul worked part-time for OPRA as a research adviser.  Paul is currently working towards his Doctorate in this area of psychometrics and differential psychology.  His topic focuses on how different predictors of job performance can best be combined to assist organisations make the right selection decisions whilst increasing their hiring ratios of ethnic minorities.

Since starting at OPRA fulltime in 2006, Paul quickly established himself as someone with both an interest and talent for group facilitation and individual coaching in areas such as leadership enhancement and the use of selection/development tools.  Perhaps best illustrated by the following client testimonials: “Paul is an awesome facilitator, encouraging and enthusiastic in the right ways.”  “…we all marvelled at Paul's energy and enthusiasm…his approach and engagement was pitched perfectly.”

Outside of work Paul is interested in adventure activities and collecting books.  Paul is originally from Wellington, but now lives in inner-city Auckland.  He is one of four brothers and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Paul has recently complete is Doctorate Research; click here to learn more about his research findings.
