OPRA Evaluate
OPRA's approach to evaluation is not simply to gather and summarise information about the evaluation subject. We will take the additional step of defining what it means for an organisation's in-house activities to be "high quality", "valuable", or "worthwhile". We then combine these definitions of "value" with the descriptive data gathered. This will enable us to draw explicit conclusions about the quality of in-house interventions, programmes, and/or activities relative to the value of the outcomes achieved.
OPRA's Evaluation Process
OPRA endorses a four-phase model of evaluation project management which is as follows:
Establishment: OPRA commence evaluation projects with a workshop attended by key stakeholders to ensure that there is a common understanding of project drivers and project scope from the outset.
Design and Methodology: OPRA will confirm the theoretical framework, and design the methodology to be used throughout the evaluation.
Implementation: OPRA typically employ a triangular approach to data gathering, including interviews, surveys and focus groups.
Analysis, Reporting and Follow-Up: OPRA provides clear, succinct, explicitly evaluative conclusions for all parts of the evaluation process. In line with this, we will deliver the full range of quantitative and qualitative analyses that you require.
Sample Evaluation: Training Needs Analysis
Training Needs Analysis is an evaluation of the relationship between training and core areas of job responsibility. The purpose of an evaluation is to ultimately increase training transfer to the workplace by ensuring that training is relevant, while also ensuring that the investment of training dollars will return a benefit to the organisation.
