GeneSys Psychometric Assessment
OPRA is the sole New Zealand distributor of the GeneSys range of assessment tests, developed by Psytech International in the UK. Unlike many other test distributors who only supply a single personality or ability test in the market, the GeneSys system offers a comprehensive range of ability, personality, values, team-building, and career assessments to support the recruitment, and development of staff.
Extensive research has demonstrated that psychometric assessments are among the best predictors of job performance. By incorporating GeneSys into a selection procedure, organisations can enhance the likelihood of employing high-performing staff, and reduce selection errors.
How Does GeneSys Work?
GeneSys is a fully-automated assessment system that enables users to complete assessments via a PC-based testing programme, pencil and paper, or online using the internet.
Once an assessment has been completed, test data must be forwarded to a central database for scoring and report generation. Test scoring and report generation occurs automatically at the touch of a button. GeneSys has the capacity to store an unlimited amount of assessment data which can be grouped into whatever bio data categories are required (i.e. industry, functional group, ethnicity, age, gender) to build in-house norms, ideal role profiles and track behaviour over time. Assessment data can also be exported into various statistical software packages to undertake a comprehensive range of advanced statistical analysis.

Profiler
Profiler is a decision support software programme that is available via the GeneSys system at no cost.
Profiler allows organisations to create an 'ideal' performance benchmark for any role, so that the selection of staff is against an objective standard. Profiler works by calculating a profile similarity coefficient between two sets of scores. In a recruitment context, one set of scores may represent the ideal candidate profile, while the second set of scores may represent the candidate's actual profile.
Accessing GeneSys Assessments
Clients have three options for accessing GeneSys assessments:
GeneSys In-House: Includes the administration, scoring, reporting and feedback of all assessments by your organisation.
GeneSys Online: Assessments can be emailed to candidates or administered in-house using your online username. Reports are generated by the system and sent to your email account.
Bureau Service: You manage the test administration process, while OPRA handles all test scoring, and report generation. You provide feedback to candidates.
Assessment Testing Service: OPRA manages the entire assessment process on your behalf.
